Project Description

This full-service design project transformed a previously country-inspired home into a warm, transitional retreat anchored by bold jewel tones, tailored finishes, and thoughtful architectural balance.

In the foyer and living room, Emerald Bee Interiors reimagined the existing space to move away from a farmhouse palette of muted blues toward a more sophisticated mix of greens, golds, and layered neutrals. The shiplap in both the entry and fireplace surround was painted a warm gray, grounding the space and creating a subtle connection between rooms. Larger investment pieces—such as the existing sofas—were retained, while new artwork, textiles, and lighting introduced richness and depth. A pop of wallpaper was added in the small hallway off the primary bedroom to echo the warm gray tones and add visual interest. Custom window treatment concepts were developed to enhance natural light and accommodate the household’s pets.

In the kitchen, a green grasscloth wallpaper was installed to provide contrast and texture, complementing the updated color story. The island was repainted to match the new mantel finish, creating a cohesive flow through the open-concept areas. The farmhouse-style table and light fixture were replaced with more transitional selections to align with the home’s refreshed aesthetic.

The primary bedroom built upon existing furnishings, including a Restoration Hardware bed and nightstands, with new additions such as a custom cabinet beneath the television and curated finishes to tie the space together. The adjoining study nook, visible from the bedroom, was designed in harmony with the suite for a seamless visual transition.



To support the client’s investment strategy, Emerald Bee Interiors implemented a phased approach, blending immediate updates with a long-term plan to achieve the full transformation over time.
