About the Designer
Emily Mussett is the founder and lead designer of Emerald Bee Interiors, a Texas-based residential design studio known for its refined balance of architectural structure and artistic expression.
With dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Architecture and Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, Emily brings a rare blend of technical expertise and creative vision to her work. She believes that great design is about more than beauty—it’s about creating spaces that function seamlessly and feel deeply personal.
Her design philosophy centers on crafting homes that are both intentional and livable—layered with personality, grounded in timeless principles, and tailored to the people who call them home. Every project reflects her thoughtful approach: connecting form and function, structure and story.
Emily founded Emerald Bee Interiors to offer clients a collaborative, comprehensive design experience that bridges aesthetic vision and practical execution. From space planning and finish selections to art curation and styling, her process emphasizes cohesion, clarity, and craftsmanship every step of the way.
Based in Wylie, Texas, Emily serves clients throughout the Dallas area and beyond. Her work has been featured on Homeworthy, where her design contributions helped bring new life and warmth to a 1950s Dallas home through creative layering and architectural detailing.
When she’s not designing, Emily enjoys watching her son play baseball, her daughter dance, and binging horror movies with her husband. A proud Ravenclaw, bee enthusiast, snake charmer, Rainbow Brite collector, and cervical cancer survivor, she brings creativity, curiosity, and resilience to everything she does — from designing beautiful spaces to building a joyful, faith-filled life rooted in family and community.
